I'm Suziey, founder of MumBloom.
I've been lucky enough to be a stepmum for a few years, but the final addition to our family, my little boy, arrived last year.
I felt pretty prepared, having very much wanted to become a mum for a long time. Suffice to say, the experience has been quite humbling so far.
I'm at the fairly lucky end of the spectrum, with a lovey husband and some family and friends nearby who have been really supportive. But even with that help, I remain pretty convinced that being a mother in 2025 - while doing all the other stuff you're meant to do - is LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
Christmas came when my baby was a few months old and I asked for a day with a home organiser as a gift.
Others thought it was a really boring gift, but I was honestly buzzing for weeks after that day.
Not being able to keep up with stuff gets stressful, so that gift was something that just made my life a little bit lighter.
I figured I might be on to something here, and when I spoke to loads of other mums, it turned out we all wanted the same things - stuff that actually makes our lives easier.
The gifting market for mums is really lagging behind, still favouring things that are undoubtedly lovely but at best, not very useful, and at worst, actually things that get in the way - little tokens and ornaments that just become something else you have to tidy up.
I'm so excited to be sharing MumBloom, a place where you can find gifts - both products and services - that are what mums really want. And I can say that confidently because I am a mum, and I've had the generous input of a whole load of other mums!
